The Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents. It is the premiere workforce development training provider in Carter, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington counties.
Accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education, the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton is approved for the training of veterans by the State Office for Veteran's Education and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
The Tennessee Board of Regents system is the sixth largest higher education system, governing 45 post-secondary educational institutions. The TBR system includes six universities, 13 two-year colleges and 26 Tennessee Technology Centers serving more than 180,000 students.
