Customized business and industry training is offered at TTC-Elizabethton and is part of our mission, Workforce Development. Residents of our five county service area are given the opportunity to obtain the technical skills and professional training necessary for advancement in today's competitive job market.
The customized training does not have to be offered as a program at the school. We will provide training to area business and industry based upon their specific needs. All courses are "tailor-made" with the assistance of the business or industry's management to insure that the employees enrolled in the training will receive the skills needed to meet specific technical requirements of the business or industry.
Recently, Safety Training, CNC, and Fork Truck training was provided for employees of Snap-On Tools in Elizabethton. A training program is in the proposal stages for ProPlastix which will provide opportunities for employees to advance within the company.
Evening and day classes can be provided to accommodate the different hours and shifts of employees. Training can be provided at our Center or in-house at the business or industry. Employees are assessed in math and reading before training begins. If they need additional instruction to bring their levels up to the requirements, training is provided in our Technology Foundations lab.
