Bill Bright — Diesel Powered Equipment

Bill's career in the field of mechanics began in 1967. After graduation from high school, he attended post-secondary mechanics school. Upon completion Bill entered the U.S. military (Vietnam Era) and served as a Senior Wheel Diesel Vehicle Mechanic. After completing his tour of duty, Bill became employed as a cross country tractor trailer driver. In 1977 Bill returned to school to further his education in Diesel Mechanics, while employed as a Diesel Technician. Bill completed his education, and in 1979 accepted the position as Heavy Truck Maintenance Instructor at Tri Cities State Tech. He spent 13 years at this position before moving to Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton where he developed the premiere Diesel Mechanics/Heavy Equipment Repair course for the southeast. Bill has earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree and Master Heavy Duty Truck Certification.
