Patricia Henderson
A native of Johnson County, Patricia Painter Henderson teaches Business Systems Technology at the Mountain City campus.
Ms. Henderson graduated with honors from East Tennessee State University, and was placed on the Dean’s List. Ms. Henderson received a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with a concentration in Business Management. She also attended Walters State Community College and Tennessee State University for course work before attending East Tennessee State University. Ms. Henderson is currently working towards a Masters of Professional Studies degree with a concentration in Strategic Leadership.
She has over twenty years experience in various leadership roles including Human Resources Management, Office Administration and Classroom Instruction. Ms. Henderson enjoys working with students and helping them to achieve their goals.
Ms. Henderson received a certificate from Governor Phil Bredesen in 2007 for the You Make the Difference. For her volunteer efforts she was named as a Global Ambassador. This award is given to volunteers who are making a difference, and for unselfish dedication for helping others and their community.
Ms. Henderson has been actively serving as a faculty advisor for the National Technical Honor Society at the Tennessee Technology Center @ Elizabethton. Ms. Henderson is an advisor for Skills USA. She has traveled with students from her Business Systems Technology class to Chattanooga and competed over the past four years. Students have won many silver and bronze medals. The class has competed in bulletin board, prepared speech, and job interview areas.
