There will be 34 more Licensed Practical Nurses who will soon join the workforce in the Kingsport area. They are recent graduates of the 12-month practical nursing training program offered by the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton on the ETSU at Kingsport Campus.
In 2005, the first year TTC-Elizabethton offered a full-time practical nursing program in Kingsport, there were 26 graduates.

A nurse pinning and graduation ceremony will be held at First Freewill Baptist Church, 208 Maple St., Church Hill, at 6 p.m. on Dec. 14. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Shirley Trentham, psychiatrist, from Rogersville.
