Chili Cook-Off

The annual chili cook-off at Tennessee Technology Center took place on October 28, 2005. The event was held at the Herman Robinson campus. Each program submits one entry for final judging. Our judges were Kent Williams, Dino's; county mayor Dale Fair; tops representative, Billie Hodge; and Kevin Collins.

The winner for the third straight years was the automotive technology program. Instructor, Jacky Livingston, attributes the winning to a secret ingredient, "motor oil".

Judge Kent Williams awarded $100 to Mr. Livingston as the winner. In exchange, Dino's restaurant will begin serving chili from the winning receipt December 1, 2005.

The chili cook-off is a day of student appreciation. Students also compete in a costume contest with various prizes awarded to the winners.
