Steve Leonard, Computer Operations Technology student, recently attended the State Legislative Skills USA meeting in Nashville. The meeting was held on the campus of the Tennessee Technology Center. Several delegates from across the state were in attendance.
Officers for the coming year were elected. The delegation set the bylaws and constitution for the state postsecondary chapter. There are fifteen technology centers participating in the newly formed state chapter.
During the national conference last year, several technology centers were represented including TTC-Athens. The Quiz Bowl team from Athens won first place in their competition. The Elizabethton campus looks forward to sending competitors and bringing home medals this year. The state conference will be held in Chattanooga on April 24-26. TTC-Elizabethton will have 2 delegates attending the state conference.
