Amber Aikens of Asheville, N.C., has been named Student of the Month in the Practical Nursing Program at the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton. In addition to being a student, mother and wife, Amber is employed as a Certified Nurse Aide at a long term care facility serving 120 patients. When she graduates from TTC-Elizabethton next year, Amber plans to continue her education to become a Registered Nurse.
