Preliminary SkillsUSA Competition
There was stiff competition in the Diesel Powered Equipment Training Program at the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton recently as students competed for a berth in SkillsUSA state competition in April 2012. Judges were from business and industry.

James “Pax” Gilliam of Snap-On Tools, Elizabethton, is also pictured. A Diploma Award as a Diesel Technician is presented after 20 months of study at TTC-Elizabethton. There are also various exit points in the program that provide Certificate Awards after four, eight, 12 and 16 months of study.
