Preliminary SkillsUSA Competition

There was stiff competition in the Diesel Powered Equipment Training Program at the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton recently as students competed for a berth in SkillsUSA state competition in April 2012. Judges were from business and industry.  

Steve Leuch of Stowers Caterpillar of Knoxville, pictured at left, observes Sebastien Dugger of Elizabethton adjust valves in a Cummins Diesel Engine.  James “Pax” Gilliam of Snap-On Tools, Elizabethton, is also pictured. A Diploma Award as a Diesel Technician is presented after 20 months of study at TTC-Elizabethton.
