2012-2013 Dual Enrollment Online Courses

(For high school students only)

The Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton is offering Dual Enrollment online courses for high school students. Online courses begin Jan. 9, 2012, May 8, 2012 and Sept. 5, 2012.

The Dual Enrollment Grant Program is funded by the Tennessee Lottery and administered by the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation. This program provides opportunities for students to begin work toward a college degree while pursuing a high school diploma.

How to Qualify

  • Students must be a Junior or Senior at the time the courses begin.
  • ACT score of 19 or recommendation from CTE Director, principal or counselor.
  • Applicant must be highly self-disciplined, motivated, and with no attendance/disciplinary issues.
  • Tuition/fees for one credit course (up to 135 hours) will be paid through Dual Enrollment grant funds for qualifying applicants. Students desiring to take more than 135 credit hours must secure funding from other sources.
  • Textbooks will need to be purchased through the Virtual Bookstore.

Enrollment Process

  1. Complete the RODP Online Registration at
    https://rodpttc.tec.tn.us/profilede.asp
  2. Complete a Dual Enrollment Grant Application at
    www.tn.gov/collegepays
  3. Mail the TTC-Elizabethton Dual Enrollment Student/Parent Agreement Form to Ms. Jackie Woodward, TTC-Elizabethton, 426 Highway 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643.

Dual Enrollment (TSAC) Online Profile and Application Instructions

  1. Go to https://clipslink.guarantorsolutions.com/StudentSignon/Default.aspx
  2. This will bring you to a page that says "username" or has a sentence in red that reads "Our login process has changed. If this is the first time you have logged in after January 1, 2012, click here to create an account." Click on the red type. This will bring you to a page to create your profile.
  3. Fill out all the information requested. A few tips:
    • You must have a valid email address. If you do not have one, there are several free providers from which to choose, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.
    • The username must consist of letters and at least one number.
    • The username and password must be different.
    • You must choose six questions and answer them before moving on. The answers are case sensitive.
  4. When the page is complete, click on the box at the bottom of the page that says “Create My Account".
  5. This will take you back to the login page where you must login with your new username.
    Next check your picture and make sure it is the one you chose. Enter your password at the bottom of the page and log in.
  6. This will take you to a page that lists all the previous scholarships you have received from TSAC. Click on the green box in the upper-left-hand corner labeled "Apply for Scholarships".
  7. This page comes up will display a number of different scholarships. Scroll down to the one that reads "Dual Enrollment Grant Spring 2012". Click on this line.
  8. Fill out the application. It should be only one page. If you are a returning student, the information may already be filled in.
    • Under "high school", choose the appropriate high school you are attending.
    • On College/University, select "Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton" for registration purposes. This is not where the student desires to go after graduation!
  9. Click "submit". If the application is completed correctly, a box will appear saying the application is complete. You can click "ok" to display a copy of the application as a PDF.  Please print a copy of this for your records.
  10. Next time you log in, start at the first screen and log in as usual.  Remember your login and password.  If you do not, you will have to have your account cleared and repeat the entire process.

Click on Dual Enroll and the Dual Enrollment online application.
Complete "create an account".
After creating an account, apply for the grant.
After getting into the online application:

  • Click on Dual Enrollment Spring 2012
  • Click on Tennessee Technology Center @ Elizabethton
