Course Description
The Automotive Technology Program provides students with thorough understanding of the methods of servicing and repairing automotive vehicles. Students are taught to use the proper factory approved methods of servicing, repairing and maintaining these vehicles. Training also includes learning how to make the proper diagnosis using test equipment, precision measuring tools (such as micrometers, calipers, etc.) and service manuals and specifications.
This program is divided into eight instructional units as developed by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. The program requires approximately 20 months of instruction for completion. A certificate will be awarded at the successful completion of each unit of instruction with a diploma being awarded for the successful completion of all outlined courses.
The instructor is an ASE Certified-Master Technician and has many years of experience.

Classes meet from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Herman Robinson Campus, 1500 Arney Street, Elizabethton.
