Nurse Pinning and Capping Ceremony
A pinning and capping ceremony for graduates of the Practical Nursing Program at the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton was held recently in the Monarch Auditorium of Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Martin P. Eason, director of the Center for Experiential Learning at the East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine, delivered the keynote address.
By county, the graduates are:
* Carter – Jenny Bowers, Rick Conner, April Hicks, Angela Montgomery, Eddie Thomason, Terra Whaley and Audra Whisenhunt;
* Greene – Rachel Hughes and Ashley Trombley;
* Johnson – Lori Bearup, Jennifer Harry, Misty Isaacs and Kathy Terrill;
* Sullivan – Jennifer Barr, Deborah Chapman, Scott Collier, Mindi Dial, Emma Harrison, Lindsey Leonard and Rebecca Perry;
* Unicoi – Kristi Blankenship and Amber Wilson; and,
* Washington – Amber Anderson, Heather Banner, Shari Cline, Kim Davis, Theresa L. Giles, Jennifer Kologiski, Mike Smith and Raegan Taylor.
An additional 110 nursing students now attending classes in Bristol, Kingsport and Elizabethton are scheduled to graduate later this year. The 12-month Practical Nursing Program at TTC-Elizabethton prepares graduates for the state Board of Nursing examination to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.
