The 135 hours of training covers state regulations mandated by the Tennessee Department of Health and Environment. The course prepares students for the state exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide and provides necessary skills for job opportunities in a health care facility. No high school diploma or G.E.D. is required to enroll in the course.
Area health care providers, including Wellmont Health System, recruit graduates of the five-week Nurse Aide Training Program at the Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton.
